About
This thila is located in the south east of the Raa Atoll, near a huge reef formation on the border of the atoll. Beriyan Bodu is located on the east of this reef and is itself around 30 to 50 meters wide and long. The shallowest part is to the east of the reef, which is around 6m deep. To the west the reef slowly slopes deeper, to a depth of around 10m.
The current usually comes here from either the north-west or south-east. Depending on the current, the dive starts either on the south side or on the north side.
In the north, the reef slopes down from a depth of around 10m to about 23m, where it curves out into the sandy bottom. The West side features kind of a plateau, with beautiful grows and normally plenty of fish.
On the south side the reef drops steeper than the north to a depth of around 30m. All along the reef from north to west and to the south there are overhangs that are dotted about. Some of them are big enough to dive into.
